Venus Chan

Background

I am Venus Chan. My riding journey began with a circle on a pony in Tai Tong when I was sixth and I found horse riding was more interesting than playing piano. Since then, I rode in many riding schools in Hong Kong and was introduced to three disciplines in Equestrian.  At first, I was more focusing on Jumping. I was one of the representatives in the CSIJ-B Bangkok @Princess' Cup 2017.

I was lucky to meet Destiny in 2016. Although she was not an experienced horse when she came to Hong Kong, we learned together and created a lot of unforgettable moments. I felt satisfied when I was able to teach her some advanced movements in Dressage and I started falling in love with Dressage.

In 2020, Destiny and I moved to Beas River Equestrian Centre to continue our training. At the same year, I took up the half livery on Dragon Regiment. He is a thoroughbred off the track in 2019. He is a fast-learner, and we are now working in three disciplines. I look forward to what we can achieve in the future.

I enjoy every moment spending with horses. If I do not go to school, I can stay in the stable whole day, grooming them and taking them out, which allow me monitoring their conditions and building a strong connection without riding on them. Horse is a big animal. They appear in my life and add colors on my life. They are the best companion sharing my ups and downs.
