Equestrian sports occupy a singular place amongst the world's great sporting traditions. The harmony between horse and rider — built upon mutual trust, sensitivity, and years of dedicated training — elevates our discipline beyond mere competition into one of true artistry and athletic distinction. Central to our values is a deep and genuine respect for the horse, whose well-being and welfare remain at the very core of our Federation's principles.
Our mission is to lead and grow equestrian sports and the love of horses in Hong Kong, China. This means creating a sport that is open and welcoming to all — one that encourages participation in a safe, fair, and inclusive environment, where every individual, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to achieve their true potential. We are equally dedicated to promoting a wider understanding and enjoyment of horses and equestrian sports, bringing their unique joy to as many people in our community as possible.
In recent years, our athletes have distinguished themselves with commendable performances not only on the international stage, but also across major competitions on the Mainland, reflecting the breadth and calibre of Hong Kong equestrian athletes. In parallel, the Hong Kong Jockey Club's Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan (HKEPP) continues to inspire the next generation of riders, providing aspiring young equestrians with the structured pathways and dedicated support they need to achieve their full potential, ensuring that the torch of our sport is carried forward with passion and purpose for years to come.
Beyond the saddle, the Federation places considerable importance on the professional development of equestrian officials. Through our dedicated training initiatives, we are actively cultivating a new generation of competent and internationally recognised officials, serving not only Hong Kong but contributing meaningfully to the wider Asian equestrian community — reflecting our mission to provide leadership and support across our region and internationally, always with the highest levels of integrity.
Looking ahead, we shall continue to pursue excellence with the utmost dedication and enthusiasm, supporting our athletes across the disciplines of Dressage, Show Jumping, and Eventing, whilst deepening our engagement with the Fédération Équestre Internationale and our counterparts across the equestrian world.

We wish to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Hong Kong Sports Institute, the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club, whose generous and continued support has been truly instrumental in bringing Hong Kong equestrian sport to where it stands today.
