Swiss watchmaker LONGINES has long and proud connection to sports timing. Its passion for equestrian sports dates back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and its horse. Having generations of experience as the official timekeeper at world championships and a partner of international sports federations, LONGINES’ involvement in equestrian sports nowadays includes horse racing, show jumping, dressage, driving and eventing competitions.

Since 2014, LONGINES has been the Title Partner of HKEF Jumping Horse of the Year Show, the annual finale of jumping competitions in Hong Kong, observing the event excelling to new heights throughout the years. LONGINES has also celebrated local riders’ outstanding achievements at previous editions of the event with dedicated timepiece collections.

Despite LONGINES Jumping Horse of the Year Show 2021-2022 did not take place, LONGINES continues to partner with us on two of the HKEF awards - the Leading Junior Rider and the Leading Jumping Combination. To encourage and motivate young riding talent, the best performing junior rider for 2021 - 2022 will be awarded a cash prize at HK$2,000 sponsored by LONGINES; while the Leading Jumping Combination, who has accumulated most scores from graded shows during this limited competition season, will be awarded an elegant The LONGINES Legend Diver. This year, the winner of the HKEF Leading Jumping Combination 2021 – 2022 is Eva Morton while the winner of the Leading Junior Rider Award is Sophie Bater. Congratulations to Eva and Sophie. The Hong Kong Equestrian Federation would like to warmly thank LONGINES for their continuous support.

Our sincere gratitude also goes to all riding schools, partners, officials, riders and supporting team who work tirelessly behind the scene to support the development of our sport under these challenging conditions. Looking forward, we hope to bring the Horse of the Year Shows and Awards back to scene in the coming new season.

The LONGINES Legend Diver Watch

Since its launch in 2007, The LONGINES Legend Diver Watch has attracted an impressive legion of fans who are drawn to its dynamic, clean expression of the brand’s rich dive watch heritage. It was based on one of the very first diving watches of the brand, a Super-Compressor from 1959. The range has expanded over the years and has distinguished itself with new colour choices as well as different materials and strap and bracelet options, but each model retains the spirit and the clean lines of the original.

The story of The Longines Legend Diver Watch continues with colourful new models. Its vivid burgundy colour-gradient dial features luminous hands, hour markers interspersed with luminescent squares and Arabic numerals enhanced with Super-LumiNova® rectangles for optimum visibility. A reminder of the codes of the sport for which this watch was originally intended. And just like on the original model, the 36-mm case back is decorated with an embossed emblem of a diver. A fabric strap matches the colour of the dial. This new model houses a self-winding mechanical movement with a silicon balance-spring and comes with a 5-year warranty.
