Invitation for Expression of Interest as Rider/Coach/ Chef d’Equipe for the 1st National Student (Youth) Games, Guangxi China (Nov 2023) - Eventing

Dear Members, 

 

The Hong Kong Equestrian Federation (HKEF) is delighted to inform that the 1st National Student (Youth) Games will be held in November 2023 at Guangxi, China. Detail as follows:

 

Dates:                          November 2023 (Exact date to be confirmed)

Venue:                         Guangxi, China (Damingshan Equestrian Central Park)

 

Eventing

Age category

Competition level

Horse requirement*

15 - 22 in 2023 (YOB: 2001 - 2008)

Team and Individual: 

 

Dressage: FEI World Dressage Challenge - Elementary Test

Cross Country: 80cm  

Show jumping: 90cm

Sourced by HKEF or by the rider

 

 

Training information

  • Riders can attend the Mainland Eventing Training Camp scheduled on 1 - 3 August 2023 as preparation for this competition.
  • There will be training sessions in Mainland China during September and October which riders will be required to attend.

 

Notes

  • Only Eventing athletes and horses can enter in more than one discipline; however, the horse can only be ridden by one athlete (e.g. The horse-rider combination can enter in Jumping or Dressage in addition to Eventing).
  • *Participating horses must not be less than 6 years of age (i.e. born on 31 December 2017 or before).
  • *Horses that have participated in Jumping/ Dressage at the National Championships or the 14th National Games in the period of 2021 to 2023 and the Eventing National Championships in the period of 2022 to 2023 are not allowed to participate in this Competition.
  • Riders with their own horses can submit horse information with the application.
  • Selection policy and reimbursement items and details will be announced in due course.

 

The following general criteria will be taken into account in making the selection of riders:

  • HKSAR Passport holder
  • Member of HKEF
  • Current training level and results at the required level as above
  • Availability to train in Mainland China in preparation for this competition

  1. Entry Form (see attachment)
  2. Results Record Form (see attachment) with Videos Submission in 2022-2023 (File Name: Rider Name_Horse Name_Height/Level_Competition Date) (riders only)
  3. Passport copy
  4. Mainland Travel Permit copy
  5. Parent Consent Letter (riders under 18 only)
  6. Letter of support and recommendation from coach (riders only)
  7. Curriculum Vitae (Coach/ Chef d’Equipe only)

 

Any late submission or submission with missing document(s) received by HKEF Secretariat will not be processed.
