Background

My name is Bryan Lam and I am from Hong Kong. I have been riding horses since I was 12 years old. I really enjoy riding horses since it is such a special sport, the connection between the rider and horse is unexplainable. Horse riding involves a lot of focus and takes a lot of time to build a connection with the horses.

I also love horses and animals in general. I treat horses just like humans because I know that if I treat them well, they will treat me the same. Horse riding can really bring a sense of connection with the horse which is so special. Horse riding is not just a normal sport because there is an animal connection involved, it requires a lot of caring of the horse and interaction which have taught me many things like discipline.

Besides from horse riding, I also really enjoy skateboarding, football and of course studying. However, I love horse riding more than anything else. During the preparation for the National Youth Games 2019, I rode at R&D in Huizhou, China. The equestrian center is like my “second home” as I spend a lot of time there as well.
