EFHKC Volunteer Scheme

As the official governing body for equestrian sports in Hong Kong, the Equestrian Federation of Hong Kong, China (EFHKC) is dedicated to promoting equestrianism throughout the city. Since 2006, the EFHKC has been recruiting volunteers for various equestrian competitions. With the increasing number of volunteers, the EFHKC established a formal volunteer team in 2013 to streamline management and introduced the Volunteer Scheme during the 2016/2017 season. This Scheme provides opportunities for the public to get involved in equestrian sports.

To date, the EFHKC Volunteer Scheme has attracted 1,000 participants. Our volunteer team is committed to assisting with both local and international events, including the LONGINES Hong Kong International Horse Show, LONGINES Master Hong Kong, Horse of the Year Shows, FEI Jumping World Challenge, and FEI Dressage World Challenge. We welcome both EFHKC members and members of the general public to join our Volunteer Scheme. Additionally, we collaborate closely with local tertiary institutions to provide students with positions that facilitate their involvement in the planning and preparation of equestrian competitions as well as event operations. As equestrian sports grow in popularity in Hong Kong, we encourage everyone to join our volunteer team.

To ensure our volunteers are well-prepared for their roles, the EFHKC offers various training and briefing sessions prior to shows. These sessions equip volunteers with a solid foundation in equestrian sports and enhance their understanding of their specific duties.

In recognition of their ongoing support and efforts, we award a certificate of appreciation to volunteers who accumulate substantial volunteer service hours during each show season.
