Recognition Scheme for HKEF Technical Officials

 

Playing a crucial role in equestrian competitions, our Technical Officials have devoted their time to these events and contributed to the growth of equestrian sports in Hong Kong. To formally recognize their passion and hard work, the HKEF is pleased to announce the following recognition scheme for all HKEF Listed Officials starting from the current season.

 

President’s Token of Appreciation

 

To express the Federation's gratitude for their time and effort for each season, HKEF Listed Officials who have volunteered the minimum number of officiating days (set at 6 show days for this season) will be invited to the End of Season Awards Ceremony and Celebration Dinner and be awarded the prestigious “President’s Token of Appreciation” commemorative coin from the HKEF President himself; a further HK$100 HKEF cash voucher will also be awarded to each recipient.

 

 

HKEF Official of the Year Award

 

Officials serving in any one of the HKEF affiliated shows in the season of 2022/23 will automatically be nominated for the captioned Award. All candidates will be selected by the following panel of judges:

Ø   Joss Gray, CRI (BREC) & Show Director;

Ø   Stephane Morai, CRI (BREC) & Show Director;

Ø   Bee Chan, CRI (HKJC PRS) & Show Director;

Ø   Christian Allderidge, Manager of LWSC;

Ø   Kerry Freeman, Manager of CEEC;

Ø   Yumi Toda, Consultant of IRC;

Ø   Wendy Hung, BREC Event Officer;

Ø   Dr. Adrian Farrington, FEI National Head Veterinarian

 

Selection will be based on the number of officiating days volunteered during the season, as well as possessing the following qualities:

20%

 

The winner of the HKEF Official of the Year Award will receive a $3,000 bursary towards any overseas officiating opportunities or trainings.

 

The HKEF remains committed to raising the professionalism of our Technical Officials as well as improving their working conditions.  We look forward to seeing new blood joining our team in the near future and helping further the sport we all love.
