Dear members,

OLYMPICS UPDATES – Thomas Ho and Tayberry completed Eventing Dressage at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games today!

Friday, 30 July 2021 (Hong Kong) – The second Equestrian event of Eventing at The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games kick started today at Baji Koen Equestrian Park, Tokyo. Our Hong Kong representative Thomas Ho and his horse partner Tayberry have completed the first phase of Dressage today.

63 riders were divided into 3 batches for Dressage over two days. The remaining one-third of the competitors will continue with the Dressage test tomorrow morning. After completing the Dressage phase, Thomas and Tayberry will move on to the Cross Country on Sunday 1 August, followed by Jumping the day after.

“Today’s Dressage was an incredible experience for me, it’s a dream come true,” said Thomas. “To be the first equestrian Eventing Olympian for Hong Kong is a honour that I’m taking very seriously. Tayberry is not a fan of the first phase of Eventing however both my coach and performance manager were extremely happy with the way I performed, as was I. We are very much looking forward to Cross Country on Sunday and Showjumping on Monday.”

We wish for the best of luck to Thomas and Tayberry in the coming competitions! Also stay tuned to our updates on the broadcast schedule!

Best Regards,

Hong Kong Equestrian Federation
