Joyful HKEF Christmas Party 2019 (Saturday 14 December 2019)
The Hong Kong Equestrian Federation (HKEF) Christmas Party 2019 was held last Saturday (14 December 2019) at Beas River Country Club croquet lawn, with almost 270 guests, including HKEF members, their friends and family members.
After welcoming the guests, HKEF President, Mr. Michael Lee praised both Senior and Junior riders for their great achievements at major international events throughout the year, namely the FEI Asian Championship in Pattaya, the CSIJ Princess Cup in Thailand as well as the 2nd National Youth Games in Shanxi in last August.
At the recent FEI Asian Championship, our Show Jumping riders, Kenneth Cheng, Jacqueline Lai, Raena Leung and Patrick Lam won the Team Gold Medal; Kenneth Cheng won the Individual Silver and Raena Leung won the Individual Bronze Medal. Our Eventing riders, Annie Ho, Thomas Ho, Patrick Lam and Yu Xuan Su earned the Team Silver Medal. Patrick Lam also won the Eventing Individual Silver Medal.
In November this year, Natasha Lee, Owen Wong and Aden Yeung represented Hong Kong at the Princess’s Cup in Thailand and Owen Wong won the Individual Silver Medal.
In last August, 16 riders namely Vincent Capol, Joshua Chan, Samantha Chan, Annabel Dyson, Natalie Fu, Edgar Fung, Charmaine Ip, Hermes Iu, Bryan Lam, Natasha Lee, Daniella Lin, Vincent Ng, Owen Wong, Claudia Wrobel, Aden Yeung and Melissa Young represented Hong Kong at the 2nd National Youth Games. Samantha Chan earned the first ever Dressage Individual Silver Medal for Hong Kong. Riders attended the party received souvenirs and joined the toasting ceremony for a great new year ahead. Guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves at the party, which included a buffet dinner, live band music, the most popular Annual Musical Chair Challenge as well as the lucky draw at the party.
