Invitation to the Dressage Equestrian Sport Educative Event organized by HKEF and sponsored by the FEI Solidarity from 23 – 26 October 2019 (Register Now!)
Dear members,
We are pleased to share with you that a Dressage Equestrian Sport Educative Event organized by HKEF and sponsored by the FEI Solidarity will be held from 23 to 26 October, 2019 (Wed to Sat) at Beas River Equestrian Centre. This Educative Event is an initiative intended to help developing NFs to grow and manage the FEI disciplines at a National Level in a sustainable manner as well as to educate members, National Officials, including national coaches with their pupils, and Event Organizers. The last day of this event on 26 October 2019 (Sat) will also include the FEI Dressage World Challenge 2019.
For this Equestrian Sport Educative Event (ESEE), it is our honour to have the below two Course Directors:
Expert Coach: Mr. Roy Ibrahim (SGP) Expert Official: Mrs. Alison King (HKG)
Format:
The ESEE takes the form of a workshop delivered by two Experts with theoretical and practical sessions for members, National Officials involving Coaches and their pupils.
The Coaches will work in the mornings with the Expert Coach on theory and practical coaching and the Officials will work in the morning in the theory of judging with the Expert Official. The afternoons will comprise of the officials observing the coaches performing what they have learned.
The days will start approximately at 8:00 a.m. and end at around 6 – 7 p.m.. There is a session at the end of each day where ALL participants get together to review the practical sessions on video.
Module:
Elementary Level Dressage
Open to (Minimum):
- 8 Officials*
- 8 Coaches with demo rider/ horse combinations (max 3 per coach)
- Event Organizer(s)
- Demo rider/horse combinations**
*Please kindly note that the ESEE is open to any person interested to become a National Official and/or existing Officials (refreshment of knowledge).
**Demo rider/horse combinations
Apart from Judges, Coaches, Writers or any interested members, we are also recruiting riders to provide Demonstrations during the practical sessions of the event.
Based on the Event Schedule, we would need at least FOUR Rider/ Horse Combinations per day during the Practical session. Same rider/ horse combinations would be required during the mornings.
Programme:
The Concept is based on 4 days of activities, divided into:
- 3 days of education for National Officials including Coaches (with Demo rider/horse combinations)
- 1 day competition simulation (all actors in competition situation)

Certificate:
A certificate of participation will be presented to you by the Course Directors. This certificate will only be presented to participants who have attended the entire session(s) from 23 to 26 October 2019 without arriving late or leaving early.
