HKEF Online Dressage Competition via Dressage Anywhere commences in October

 

Following last week’s announcement on the new online dressage competition series, the HKEF, in conjunction with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, is delighted to share more details on this competition.

 

The worldwide online dressage competition website Dressage Anywhere will be offering competitions only for Hong Kong based riders in monthly basis. Classes will be available from introductory to medium advanced, with short and long arena tests for preliminary to medium levels. Introductory, preliminary and novice levels will have a Senior section (over 16 years old) and Junior section (16 years and under), with rosettes to 6th place in each section. Each month will see the start of a new competition to enable our riders to keep training and competing in dressage whilst we are not able to have horse shows.

Points to note

 

1. Entry

 

Create your own account to enter to the classes, you may register at https://www.dressageanywhere.com/Account/Register?reference=alt

Entry fee will be directly paid to the platform for every entry, price subject to the class entered

 

2. Rules

 

All competitions will run under Dressage Anywhere Rules (Please check the rules on the website)

 

3. Video taking and uploading

 

Videos should be filmed at C marker outside arena of competitor’s home stables

Sound must be recorded

Video format: MOV, MOD, AVI, MP4, M4V, WMV

Videos can be uploaded to Dressage Anywhere, YouTube, Dropbox or WeTransfer by competitors

4. Judging

 

For the October competition, riders will be judged by Dressage Anywhere judges who are British Dressage Listed 1 or 2 (highest level)

HK judges will undergo training on video judging by Dressage Anywhere before judging in the HKEF classes

 

5. Announcement and Distribution of Results

 

Results and leader board will be updated on the platform after judges finish judging. The HKEF will be assisting in the announcement of results

Virtual score sheet with marks and comments will be sent to individual rider via email

Rosettes are kindly sponsored by HKJC and will be sent by Wendy Hung to the Riding Schools to distribute

 

6. Monthly League Champion

 

All riders will have to declare the riding school they represent as part of the entry process.

Monthly team score will be calculated by the average of all percentage scores from the same riding school and contribute to the monthly “League Champion”

In case of tied place, the two schools will both be determined winners
