Dear Members and all Relevant Persons,

The HKEF is fully committed to the implementation of Safeguarding measures for children and vulnerable adults taking part in equestrian activities. Online training sessions conducted by Viva were recently organized to help our members and all relevant persons to understand and recognize these important issues.

The recording and PowerPoint Presentation of the online training conducted by Viva on 17 February can be viewed at:

The HKEF Children and Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding Policy has been approved by the Executive Committee and will come into effect from today onwards. A full bilingual HKEF Children and Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding Policy is now available at https://www.hkef.org/eng/about-us/corporate-information/index.html. As a core member of the local riding community, you are required to read the Policy carefully and encouraged to familiarize yourself with the various rights and obligations contained within the Policy.

Anyone involved in any equestrian activities and/or training and riding arranged by the HKEF for children and vulnerable adults is also required to sign off and return the HKEF Safeguarding Declaration Form attached in Appendix C of the Policy.

It is very important for us all to work together and protect the well-being and rights of all individuals, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Please kindly return the signed Declaration Form (attached in the policy) to HKEF Secretariat by the following means on or before Thursday 31 March 2022.
