The HKEF is delighted to announce the resumption of the FEI Dressage World Challenge since the last edition in 2019. The FEI Dressage World Challenge 2022 (FEI DWC 2022) & HKEF Local Dressage Competition, subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, are now open for entries until Tuesday 6 December 2022 6:00 p.m..

- Horse inspection
Horse inspection for the FEI DWC 2022 will be conducted on Friday 9 December 2022 at the BREC Competition Paddock at 4:00 p.m.. Dr. Adrian Farrington will be our Veterinary Delegate for the inspection. Any riders who are not able to attend the horse inspection should obtain prior approval from HKEF

- Best-presented Award
Best-presented Award will be selected by the Judges and the Veterinarians during the horse inspection. A cash prize of HK$200 will also be granted to the groom as a token of encouragement on competition dates
- (NEW) Video/ Discussion Session on 10 Dec 2022 (Sat) after competition
An one-on-one video or discussion session (Around 15 – 20 mins per timeslot) with our Foreign Judge will be offered to all FEI DWC competitors at the venue after the competition from 4:00 p.m. onwards. Pre-registration is required, so please indicate your interest to join the video / discussion session when you are submitting your entries to us

- Conditions of Entry to HKJC Premises (with effect from 16 September 2022)
Please find the Conditions of Entry to Club Premises (with effect from 16 September 2022) from The Hong Kong Jockey Club which will be applied to all HKEF affiliated shows to be held in BREC for your information:
- Registration of Riders and Horses for Local Graded & FEI Shows
Effective from 14 Oct 2022, all riders and horses participating in local ranking competitions of affiliated shows must be registered with the HKEF. For Registration Fees details, please refer to HKEF Registration Fees
- Live Streaming on HKEF Facebook
Facebook Live Streaming will be available on HKEF Facebook on Saturday 10 December to allow parents and the public to enjoy the competition even outside the competition arena
- Rules of participation
I. Athlete/horse combination:
An athlete/horse combination is allowed to start in two different classes but with no more than one level difference, i.e.: Youth-Senior I, Senior I-Senior II, Senior II-PSG or PSG-Intermediate I
II. Athlete:
An athlete is allowed to start twice:
- in the same class but with two different horses
- in two different classes but with two different horses
III. Horse:
A horse of 5 yrs of age may only start once
A horse of 6 yrs of age is allowed to start twice:
- Once in Youth and once in either the Senior I, Senior II class
- Twice in the Youth class
A horse of 7 yrs of age and above is allowed to start twice:
- Once in Youth and once in either the Senior I, Senior II, PSG or Intermediate I class
- Twice in the Youth class
IV. Horses entered in the FEI DWC (competitions no. 1 – 5) are not allowed to participate in the HKEF Local Dressage classes (competitions no. 6 – 8) (Article 2.8 in the FEI Dressage World Challenge Rules 2022)
- Entry deadline
Entries deadline is 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday 6 December 2022
Kindly note that the event is open to a maximum of 40 starters in total. Priority will be given to entries in the DWC classes and entries are received on a first-come-first-served basis.
