Dear members,
While Olympic athletes returned with glory from the Olympic Games earlier this month, it is time to welcome the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, which will begin next Tuesday 24 August 2021. The HKEF is proud to announce that Hong Kong is sending the first Para Equestrian team to compete in the Para Dressage events.
The para equestrian competitions will take place at Baji Koen Equestrian Park from 26 to 30 August, while our three representatives will appear from Friday 27 August onwards.
The qualified horses and riders as follow:
Apart from the athletes, other Delegation members include Team Vet Adrian Farrington, Team Coaches Corinne Bracken and Stephane Morai, Team Farrier Haydn Price, Human Physiotherapist Majid Khan, Grooms Kirstie du Gay, Annie Ho and Poppy James, Horse Support Personnel Pascale Litmaath, Teresa Shum and Ai Leng Siah. The HKEF would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for their effort under these challenging times. Special thanks also goes to The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKPC&SAPD) for their sponsorship and support towards Hong Kong Para Equestrian Team’s Paralympic journey.
Six local television stations, including TVB, ViuTV, Hong Kong Open TV, Cable TV, NowTV and RTHK, will be streaming the events during the Games period. Do stay tuned to their official broadcast schedules and updates!
