Dear members,

 

The FEI Dressage World Challenge 2022 (FEI DWC 2022) subvented by Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, Leisure and Cultural Services Department and supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, was completed today 10 December 2022 (Sat) at the Beas River Equestrian Centre.

 

This year, we are pleased to have Ms. Wan Ming Ong from Malaysia as the Foreign Judge and President of Ground Jury together with Ms. Possum Richards as the Ground Jury member. This is also the first time we have a total of 8 local dressage judges to participate in the FEI DWC as members of Ground Jury or writers.

 

7 combinations competed at the FEI DWC, in which 2 took part in Youth Class, 3 in Senior I Class, 1 in Senior II Class and 1 in Prix St-Georges Class.

The Best-presented Award belonged to Come On Wongchoy ridden by Christian Allderidge. A cash prize of HK$200 was presented to the rider as token of encouragement.

 

The FEI DWC offers world classification both for individuals and teams. Based on recent competition results, four members of Hong Kong team included Alexis Shie with Don Le Beau in Youth Class, Hannah Cheung with Winners Poineer and Christian Allderidge with Come On Wongchoy in Senior I Class, as well as and Stephane Morai with Fedor in Senior II Class. They achieved a total team score of 203.453%.

 

A video/ discussion session took part after all competitions finished. Competitors received comments from our Foreign Judge Ms. Wan Ming Ong and HKEF List A Dressage Judge Ms. Possum Richards over their performances. Riders benefited from the advices.

 

The HKEF Local Dressage Competition 2022 received 23 entries in the Preliminary and Novice classes, and full results are now available at HKEF website

 

Our warmest congratulations to all winners and thank you all for your outstanding performances. Our gratitude also goes to all parents, officials and writers, riding schools, HKJC transport and medical team as well as BREC team for their contribution to make the event possible.
