Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan
2020 Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan (HKEPP) － Round Two Application
The Hong Kong Equestrian Federation and The Hong Kong Jockey Club are delighted to announce that the second round of applications are now open for the 2020 Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan (HKEPP). January 2020 marks the start of the fifth year of the programme, which provides a structured development programme to high performing equestrian athletes within the disciplines of dressage, eventing, show jumping and para dressage.
As in accordance with the 2020 HKEPP Selection Policy and to broaden the opportunities for athletes to apply for the programme, a second entry point was introduced. This allows new athletes (not currently on the programme) to apply for either the development or elite squads, joining the programme mid-way through the year in July. Athletes currently on the development level can apply for the elite programme in round two of the process, however, athletes already on the elite programme are not able to move levels. Details of the application process can be downloaded from the links below. Any queries should be directed to Ms. Amanda Bond at email@example.com.
The programme will provide support and guidance to athletes who demonstrate commitment, have proven competitive performance and have the potential to deliver success for Hong Kong at championship level. The principles of the HKEPP are to Identify, Develop and Deliver. The programme is supported by equestrian professionals who mentor athletes, monitor performance and seek improvements where they can be found. Working with the home teams already in place around the riders and horses, the HKEPP personnel provide individually designed support programmes to help improve performance.
Round two applications close: 17:00 hours / 5:00pm Hong Kong time on Monday 8 June 2020.
The HKEPP Application Form must be fully completed and submitted by the deadline. Late applications will not be considered. Applications must be submitted to Ms. Amanda Bond by the following means:
