Being the official body representing equestrian sports in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation (HKEF) is dedicated to the promotion of equestrianism in the city. Since 2013, the Federation has established a volunteer scheme, providing a platform for the public to get involved in the sport and to contribute to society.
The HKEF volunteer scheme has accumulated 1000 teammates since its establishment. Our volunteer team is committed to offering assistance in a number of large-scale local events, including Longines Masters of Hong Kong, Horse of the Year Show and FEI World Jumping Challenge. We welcome both HKEF members and the general public to participate in our volunteer scheme. At the same time, we have closely worked with local tertiary institutions such as the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), offering positions for students to gain insights into the sport and to facilitate operation of our events.
Our volunteer scheme brings mutual benefits to the Federation and volunteers. To ensure that our team is well-prepared for the voluntary work, we provide various training sessions and briefing to equip them with a solid grounding in equestrian sports as well as to sharpen their soft skills. They can therefore not only contribute to society but also have an all-round development.
To express our sincere gratitude to the volunteers for their continuous support and effort, the Federation has put into practice a volunteer recognition system in which the number of service hours of a volunteer will be recorded. Certificates of appreciation and prizes exclusively designed for the scheme will be presented to eligible volunteers, subject to his/her total number of service hours in the past show season, after the end of the competition season.
Your support is of vital importance to the success of our events. Please join our volunteer scheme now!
