Vincent Zi-Xiang Capol gear up for the 3rd AEF Junior Jumping Championship 2018, Chinese Taipei (9 – 12 November, Friday to Monday)
Vincent Zi-Xiang Capol was selected as Hong Kong representative at the upcoming 3rd AEF Junior Jumping Championship 2018 in Chinese Taipei which will be held from 9 – 12 November 2018 (Friday to Monday) at Houli Horse Ranch & Forest Park Area in Taichung, Chinese Taipei. Vincent will be heading to Taiwan with his coach, Mr. Marco Moder tomorrow (9 November 2018, Friday) for the event, competing against 34 riders from 20 countries or areas.
Vincent will take part in two competitions at the event, including a qualification and final competition. The qualification competition (105cm) on 10 November 2018 (Saturday) is a Table A against the clock in two phases. The classification is decided by the penalties and time in the second phase. The final competition (100-120cm) on 11 November 2018 (Sunday) is a competition with two rounds, first round (100cm) not against the clock and the second round (110cm) against the clock with a jump-off (120cm). The placing is determined by the penalties and time in the jump-off.
Vincent rides at Beas River Equestrian Centre. He represented Hong Kong for two consecutive years at CSI CH/J/Y Tehran, Iran in 2016 and 2017. He was also the winner of the Jumping Horse of the Year Award (The Good King Cup) and the Junior Rider of the Year Award (The Jose Remedios Memorial Trophy) in 2017/18. This year, he obtained the FEI Certificate of Capability to the 3rd Youth Olympic Games (YOG) and was one of the qualified candidates to join the YOG selection trial at Pattaya, Thailand in June, which had been organized by the HKEF.
