Vincent Capol obtains a Certificate of Capability for the Youth Olympic Games 2018
The Hong Kong Equestrian Federation (HKEF) is pleased to officially announce that Vincent Capol has obtained a Certificate of Capability (CoC) for the 2018 Buenos Aires 3rd Youth Olympic Games (YOG 2018).
On 3 March 2018, Vincent Capol partnered Angel 259 to achieve a superb clear round at the FEI World Jumping Challenge 2018 (1st Competition – Category A Round 1). This was organised by the HKEF as one of the Hong Kong Qualifying competitions for the YOG 2018.
In order to qualify for the YOG 2018, each rider must obtain a score of not more than eight penalties in the first round of an FEI World Jumping Challenge
Category A to attain a Certificate of Capability (CoC). Under FEI rules, a CoC must be obtained between 1 April 2017 and 31 May 2018.
We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Vincent Capol as the first rider to obtain a CoC. As there are further qualifying competitions coming up, both in Hong Kong and other countries, in which Hong Kong riders are taking part in order to gain their respective CoCs, we wish them all the best and look forward to more riders gaining eligibility for the YOG 2018.
For updates regarding the progress of our Hong Kong riders and the YOG 2018, please closely follow our HKEF facebook (https://www.facebook.com/hkequestrian/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel) and website (http://www.hkef.org/) announcements.
Once again, congratulations to Vincent Capol!
