Updated invitation for Expression of Interest for Asian Eventing Championship 2017 (MER period)
We are pleased to inform you that the FEI Asian Eventing Championship 2017 will be held from 7 – 10 December at Thai Polo & Equestrian Club in Pattaya, Thailand. The competition will be in CCI 1* – CH level with both team and individual competitions. In 2013, Hong Kong representative Annie Ho claimed the Gold medal with her partner Super Combed and led along the three disciplines, dressage, cross country and show jumping at the named three-days Asian Eventing Championship.
The FEI Asia Eventing Championship is the sole FEI Regional Eventing Championship held in Asia and was inaugurated in 2013. The motto of AECH is “Asia is rising. Together we can make a history.” aiming to gather excellent Asian riders to climb up and rise the eventing to the top to the world-class events.
According to the FEI rules, the combination for both horse and rider needs to meet with the Minimum Eligibility Requirements (MERs) together to qualify for the Championship with 1 X CCI 1* between 1 January 2016 and 31 October, 2017.

Invitation for Expression of Interest
Our Federation is planning to send potential athlete(s) to compete for Hong Kong in this event. The application is now open to all HKEF validated members who have obtained the MERs and are actively competed in graded local and international evenitng competitions for our Training and Selection Subcommittee (TSSC)’s consideration and selection.
Should you have interest on this event, please kindly make a reply to indicate your interest, availability and intended horse for this event and submit the following documents:
1. Application form
2. HKID & passport copies
3. Supporting official competition results in which the MER is obtained (It can be submitted later if the MER is not yet obtained at the moment)and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 7 July 2017 (Friday) 6:00 p.m. (Hong Kong time)
