The HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2019 begins soon (1 March 2019)!

The HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2019 begins on 1 March 2019, Friday

The HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2019 will soon begin, with the first competition being the first Lower Division heat on Friday 1 March at Lo Wu Saddle Club (LWSC). A total of five Lower Division heats will take place on five consecutive Fridays, in which over 90 riders from 23 schools will participate. In each heat, competitors are required to complete a preliminary dressage test (Ingestre Preliminary Test 5) and jump a course of jumps of up to 50 cm in height.

 

On three consecutive Wednesdays, starting from 6 March, ​the Higher Division heats will be held at Tuen Mun Public Riding School (TMPRS). This year, more than 35 riders from 13 schools will compete against each other.  Competitors will be required to ride a preliminary dressage test (Ingestre Preliminary Test 9)  and complete a course of jumps up to 80 cm.

 

After the heats, the four highest-scoring teams in each division will compete in the finals on Friday & Saturday 3-4 May (Lower Division) and Saturday 4 May (Higher Division) respectively at LWSC.

 

The winning Higher Division team will have the chance to spend one week training at Ingestre Stables, UK.
