Reminder: HKEF Training Support 2018/2019 (New deadline: Mon, 11 June 2018)
We are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation (HKEF) Training Support 2018/2019 is now opened for entries.
Please submit the attached application form with your proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before the new deadline on next Monday, 11 June 2018, 6:00 p.m.
This programme carries one of HKEF’s key objectives to support the development of our talent pool and riders who demonstrate they have the potential to represent us in major international competitions and championships. Based on previous competition successes and the potential of our sport, HKEF receives funding support from Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) to support these objectives. Therefore, we would like to invite members aged between 12 and 21 to submit their training and competition plans so that we can access whether we are able to provide some financial assistance.
For guidance, some assessment criteria are listed below, noting that this list is not definitive and HKEF will assess each application on its individual merits.
Applicants must be members of the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation and preference is likely to be given to riders who are eligible to represent Hong Kong in international competitions.
Priority is likely to given to riders who have the potential to compete in the following:
l Asian Equestrian Federation Junior Jumping Championship (Show Jumping) ( below aged 18)
l International / FEI Eventing competitions
l FEI Children’s International Classic Final (Show Jumping) Juniors (aged 12 – 14)
l International / FEI Dressage competitions
l We will also aim to support riders who will take part in international or FEI competitions that would score points under the Hong Kong Sports Institute Evaluation Criteria for Elite Vote Support for equestrian sports (See attached table)
Each applicant is required to submit a proposal (in word or excel format) that includes the followings:
- Detailed training and competition plan with measurable objectives that has been endorsed by a recognized instructor or coach
- Detailed budget noting that any funding grant will be in the form of a reimbursement of incurred expenses
3. Letter of support from parents/guardian for riders under 18
- Current competition record and results (Hong Kong and Overseas)
- Details of the horse(s) available to you to support your objectives
**Please do note that all applications should include the details for the captioned 1 to 5. Application without sufficient information will not be processed.
This programme is not open to any riders under the Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan of HKJC.
Also, funding support will be on reimbursement basis and each applicant will be required to submit original invoices and receipts to process the reimbursement if the application is successful.
Examples of the types of expenditure that we may be able to help with include:
- Flights (economy class only)
- Horse rental
- Meal expenses
- Training fee
- FEI registration fee and guest license fee
- Competition entry fee
- Coach fee
- Horse transportation
- Rider transportation
- Administration charge
- Livery/ stabling fee
- MCP fee
The application period is from 31st May to 11th June , 2018 and TSSC will notify members of the results by 22 June, 2018 (Friday).
