Overall FEI Jumping World Challenge 2019 Results

With the support of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, subvention from Home Affairs Bureau (Arts and Sport Development Fund) as well as the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, all three legs of the FEI Jumping World Challenge 2019 Hong Kong organized by the HKEF was completed. The first two legs were held in March and October 2019 followed by the last leg on 5 January 2020 at Beas River Equestrian Centre.

Developed by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), the FEI Jumping World Challenge is a three-leg competition which aims to provide the opportunity for less experienced riders to compete internationally without having to leave their own country. Best 2 results out of 3 will count for the individual rankings per country, regional zone and the world rankings for Categories A, B and C in the Challenge. The FEI Jumping World Final will be open to 20 riders, who are the 2 best-placed Category A riders from 10 regional zones.

Hong Kong was placed third on the Zone 8 Team Ranking list with the best results achieved by Vincent Capol, Gabby Thomas and Natalie Walker in Category A (1.2 – 1.3m), Category B (1.10 – 1.20m) and Category C (1.00 – 1.10m) respectively. Attached please find the FEI Jumping World Challenge World Rankings, FEI Jumping World Challenge World Rankings Teams, Regional Rankings Zone 8, Zone 8 Team Ranking as well as the Hong Kong National Rankings for your information.

In Hong Kong, the Best 2 results out of 3 legs will count for the Overall Winner Awards for Categories A, B and C in the Challenge.

Hence, Vincent Capol with Angel 259 is the overall winner of Category A; Gabby Thomas with Emerald Butterfly is the overall winner of Category B, while Natalie Walker with Quick Money is the overall winner of Category C. These Awards will be presented at the HKEF End of Season Awards Ceremony and Celebration Dinner scheduled on 6 June 2020 at Beas River Country Club.
