Longines Masters of Hong Kong & Asia Horse Week Press Conference
Longines Masters of Hong Kong (LMHK) & Asia Horse Week Press Conference was held at the Happy Valley Racecourse today to announce the inaugural Asia Horse Week and draw for the Hong Kong Jockey Club Races of the rider pair-up. Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chief Executive officer (CEO) of Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), Mr. Christophe Ameeuw, CEO of EEM and Founder of LMHK, Mr. Michael Lee, our President of Hong Kong Equestrian Federation, and Mr. Raphael Le Masne de Chermont, Chairman of Asia Horse Week were the officiating VIPs.
Our President Mr. Michael Lee gave a speech at the Press Conference, “On behalf of the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation, I would like to welcome everyone to the Longines Masters of Hong Kong. The sixth edition of the Longines Masters of Hong Kong will take place from February 9-11 at the Asia World Expo. This unique event which combines top equestrian competitions with fashion, arts and entertainment continues to gain popularity in the region. This year will also mark the inauguration of the Asia Horse Week. This is a landmark event that brings stakeholders in the equestrian sport and industry from all over the world to Asia to share their expertise and experience.”
Our Hong Kong representatives Jacqueline Lai and Clarissa Lyra were not able to attend the event because of their on-going training, but they have prepared the videos to share with the media today.
One of the highlight of the Longines Masters of Hong Kong 2018 will be 2018 HKJC Race of the Riders, four Jockeys including Derek Leung, Joao Moreira, Neil Callan and Vincent Ho attended the event and made a draw to match up with top riders around the world.
