KGV is topping the Higher Division of the Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2018 after the second heat!


The second heat of the Higher Division of the Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2018 was held on Wednesday, 14 March 2018 at Tuen Mun Public Riding School. 19 riders from Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS), French International School (FIS), Hong Kong Academy (HKA), King George V (KGV), Renaissance College (RCHK) and Shatin College (Shatin) competed in the event. All riders jumped a course of jumps up to 80cm and rode the Ingestre Preliminary Dressage Test 8.

In the individual rankings, Zoe Koerber from Team KGV A1 was both the overall jumping winner with 73.06% on Phoenix Fortune and the overall dressage leader with 70% on Silver Arrow. The top-scoring team was from KGV A1 with 415.48 while RCHK A came second on 395.8 and KGV A2 came third with 359.34.

The top 6 winners of each discipline were presented rosettes by the judges, Ms. Angela Kong & Mr. Christian Allderidge.

After the first and second heats of the Higher Division, KGV with 415.48 heads up the Higher Division, followed by RCHK with 395.8 and German Swiss International School (GSIS) with 390.27. With one more Higher Division heat to go, this may of course all change.

The third heat of the Lower Division will be held tomorrow, 16 March 2018 at the Lo Wu Saddle Club.
