Kenneth Cheng ranked third in overall for LONGINES Jumping FEI World CupTM China League
The final leg of 2018/2019 LONGINES FEI Jumping World CupTM China League was completed from 4-7 October 2018 (Thu–Sun) at Chaoyang Park, Beijing, China. Kenneth riding Pommeau du Heup and Chaccopia placed the first and sixth place respectively. As per the overall standings recently released by the FEI, we are pleased to share with you that Kenneth Cheng ranked third after combining his results achieved with the declared horses at the first leg from 28 April (Sat) to 1 May 2018 (Tue) and second leg from 25 to 27 May 2018 (Fri-Sun). The first two legs were held at Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club, Tianjin and Western China International Expo City, Chengdu respectively.
At the first leg of LONGINES Jumping FEI World CupTM China League, Kenneth with Fancyface took the seventh place. He rode the same horse to compete at the second leg in which he claimed the fourth. Then in the final leg, he competed with Chaccopia, ended up with the sixth place. Eventually, Kenneth ranked third in the overall standings of Longines Jumping FEI World CupTM China League.
The top three placed riders for the overall ranking are Tongyan Liu and Zuping Huang from China, as well as Kenneth Cheng from Hong Kong. Three of them share an accumulated point of 35. However, by addressing the ranking of individual nominated rider and horse combinations at each of the leg, the best ranking for Tongyan Liu and Zuping Huang are both the second while Kenneth’s best result was the third. Therefore, he is placed after them and overall ranked third.
