(En) Jacqueline Lai once again selected to compete at CSI5* LMHK 2017

2016/12/01

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Jacqueline Lai (賴楨敏) has been selected to be our Hong Kong representative at the upcoming CSI5* Longines Masters of Hong Kong 2017 which will be held from 10 to 12 February at the AsiaWorld Expo.

After much deliberation, in order to ensure a fair selection, our Training and Selection Subcommittee made the decision based on individual 2016 results for each interested rider and horse combination, their current form and fitness to compete and the discipline, attitude and commitment shown by the rider throughout the year.

With her horses, 17-year-old gelding Capone and 11-year-old stallion Basta, Jacqueline has solid and consistent performance at competitions of 1.45 – 1.6m level, including a 7th place at 2016 CSI2* Odense Grand Prix in May. Since 2011, Jacqueline has been a member of the HKJC Equestrian Team (now renamed as the Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan, HKEPP). In 2013, Jacqueline won an individual silver medal at the 12th China National Games in Shenyang.

This will be the second time for Jacqueline to represent Hong Kong at this premier event. With sheer determination and relentless focus, Jacqueline will once again step into the spotlight as an excellent ambassador from Hong Kong.

Congratulates and all the best to Jacqueline!
