HKIS retained the lead of Lower Division of the HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2018 after the second heat


The second heat of Lower Division HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2018 was held on Friday, 9 March 2018 at Lo Wu Saddle Club. A total of 22 riders from Chinese International School (CIS), Discovery College (DC), Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS), Australian International School Hong Kong (AISHK) and YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College (YMCA) competed in the event.

After the second heat, CDNIS B are leading with a total score of 393.75. They are followed by Team DC B and Team CIS B1 with 386.58 and 383.92 respectively. The top-placed rider in dressage was Jemma Ellen Quinn from Team CIS B1, riding Topper, with 71.6%; whilst Margaret Kehoe from AISHK, riding Trevor’s Star, came first in Jumping with 70.29%.

After the first and second heats, HKIS B2 retains its lead in the Lower Division with 398.2 points, a total of only 4.45 ahead of CDNIS B. With two more Lower Division heats to go, there is still a lot to play for.

The top 6 riders of the second heat in both disciplines were presented rosettes by the judges Ms. Caroline Holm and Ms. Alice Mak at the prize presentation ceremony.

The second heat of Higher Division will be held this Wednesday, 14 March 2018 at Tuen Mun Public Riding School.
