Let’s take a quick look at six confirmed riders at the HKJC Asian Junior Challenge and HKJC Asian Junior Grand Prix:
The HKJC Asian Junior Challenge (105cm) and HKJC Asian Junior Grand Prix (110cm) are both borrowed horse competitions which aim to offer top junior riders in Asia, such as winners of regional Championships or league finals an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of top international competitions at the Masters, as well as to foster their interaction with like-minded Asian junior riders. Among six participating junior riders, three of them achieved outstanding performances at the 3rd AEF Junior Jumping Championship (100-120cm) in Chinese Taipei in October 2018. They are Tzu Yen Lin from Chinese Taipei, Muhammad Akbar Kurniawan from Indonesia and Amirhossein Siahmansouri Mahmouabadi from Iran. They earned the first, fourth and fifth place respectively at the competition. Besides, Jiaxian Cao from Guangdong, China was the winner of the CSIO J&Y 115cm class in Beijing in August 2018. Moreover, our Hong Kong representatives, Vincent Zi-Xiang Capol and Edgar Fung were placed the first and second respectively at the CSIJ Hong Kong 2018 in November 2018.
The HKJC Asian Junior Challenge on 16 February (Saturday) is a single-rounded competition with fence height at 105cm, while the HKJC Asian Junior Grand Prix on the next day (17 February, Sunday) contains two rounds at fence height of 110cm. Horses will be provided by the EEM.
