2020/05/22

Dear members,

Completion of the HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2020 (Lower Division)

The HKEF is pleased to announce that the annual HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge 2020 Lower Division competition was completed last Friday 15 May at Lo Wu Saddle Club. In order to comply with social-distancing rules and to ensure safety for all involved, a ‘micro heat’ format was adopted with no more than 4 riders competing at any time in a series of 18 sessions that have taken place since the beginning of March.

The very gradual format accumulated the scores of 60 riders from 21 schools, who completed both the Ingestre Preliminary Dressage Test 1 and a course of jumps at 50 cm. Of the 12 complete teams that took part, the team winner was Canadian International School (CDNIS B1) with the overall score of 435.88, followed by French International School (FIS) (428.36), Renaissance College (RCHK) (413.38) and Hong Kong International School (HKIS) (411.66)..

The HKEF would like to congratulate all riders for their achievements in this year’s Inter-school series. Heartfelt gratitude also goes to LWSC, parents and officials – especially Christian Allderidge – for their efforts and assistance in making the competition possible under some very challenging conditions.

As the region’s largest equestrian competition for young riders, the HKEF Inter-school Equestrian Challenge is proud to play its part in encouraging our determined young riders. We thank members for their support and look forward to a vibrant Inter-school series next season!

With very best Regards,
