2010  The 16th Asian Equestrian Events

The 16th Asian Games was held in Guangzhou, China from November 12 to 27, 2010. Elite athletes from 45 Countries and regions were gathered in Guangzhou to compete in the 16th Asian Games Guangzhou 2010.
It was the first Asian Games that the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation (HKEF) and the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) have been able to send representatives to compete in all three disciplines of the Equestrian Events, namely, Dressage, Eventing and Jumping.
The Dressage team members included Jacqueline Siu and Aram Gregory. And the Eventing team members consisted Bee Chan, Annie Ho, Jennifer Lee and Nicole Pearson.
For the Hong Kong SAR jumping team, members were Patrick Lam, Samantha Lam, Kenneth Cheng and Jacqueline Lai. Kenneth with his horse, Jockey Club Can Do finished with two clear rounds which the team claimed a historic bronze medal in the team jumping competition of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games on the 22th of November – Hong Kong’s first-ever equestrian medal at an Asian Games.
The Hong Kong Equestrian team defeated five Asian countries to claim the bronze medal, with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates winning team gold and silver respectively.
